Shoppers, you have found your bargain haven!
Bangkok has lots of malls and markets that sell anything from clothes to trinkets, day in and day out! One popular place is called Chatuchak or Jatujak, the weekend market.
Block off the whole day for your shopping spree because this place is huge. I regret putting this off until the last day of our trip because by the time we got to the weekend market, my wallet was very thin and there were so many things I wanted to buy! Well, I shall redeem myself the next time I visit Bangkok.
One tip before you start scouring the whole place: look for marshals who carry a map of the place. There are stores that sell the same thing and you may want to look around first for a better buy. With a map, you can just mark a store and come back to it later.
Oh, and be sure to keep well hydrated. It is an outdoor market and the heat can be intense. You wouldn’t want to sit this one down. Enjoy shopping!
